Hi guys! 🙂

I've been a Valorant main for the past 2 years (peaked Diamond 2) but all my friends keep telling me CS 1.6 is something else entirely. I want to give it a proper shot. Any tips for a complete newbie to the old school?

Also what's the best way to get started on this community's servers?

Honestly the transition from Valorant to CS 1.6 is interesting. The movement and spray mechanics are very different — CS 1.6 has no abilities so pure mechanics matter a lot more.

Start with de_dust2, everyone knows it

Learn to counter-strafe (stop moving before shooting)

Don't try to Valorant-peek, it won't work 😄

The spray patterns in CS 1.6 are muscle memory — give it 2-3 weeks and it clicks. Also your Valorant aim will carry over more than you think. 👍 See you on the server!
